Candle Care

We want you to burn your candle safely whilst getting the optimum use from it, so we have put together the below Candle Care guidelines for you to follow...

Please take a few minutes to read the safety information provided with each candle you purchase and ensure you follow these accordingly. 

Before you burn your candle make sure it is placed on a level, heat resistant, dry surface. Ensuring this is in a safe place away from children, pets and drafty areas.

When you first light your candle allow the wax to melt all the way to the outer edges of the container, this may take up to 2 - 3 hours. Allowing a full melt pool ensures an even burn, without tunneling or wasted wax, and ensures maximum scent throw.

Please ensure that you NEVER leave your candle unattended.

TRIM...TRIM...TRIM...Each time you light your candle, always trim the wick to approximately 5mm in height and remove any loose trimmings and debris. This will allow for a perfect flame height that will safely and slowly melt an even pool of wax. 

Due to the natural ingredients used in our wax, after burning, the candle surface may appear frosty or lumpy. This is completely normal and the beauty of using a natural wax. This will not affect the candles performance.

Do not burn individual candles close together, we recommend that you leave a minimum of 10cm between each burning candle and follow these guidelines for each one.

Never leave a candle to burn for longer than 3-4 hours at any one time and do not let the flame touch the glass.

Always ensure you extinguish your candle correctly by snuffing out the flame and NOT blowing it out. Do not move your candle when lit. Snuff out and wait for the wax to set and cool.

Do not burn your candle completely to the bottom, stop when 1.5cm of wax remains.

Never use the if the container has been compromised or if it is damaged or broken in anyway.

And please...never reuse the container for a candle. Please either recycle it or dispose of it accordingly. Or get imaginative...you can wash the pot out with warm, soapy warm and use it for something else.
